Sarawak Central Hospital has successfully performed the state’s first stem cell transplant, marking a major milestone for local healthcare. Previously, blood cancer patients had to travel to Kuala Lumpur for weeks of treatment. The achievement, led by Dr. Chew Lee Ping and her team, was praised by Deputy Premier Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian as a crucial step toward establishing a Sarawak Cancer Centre and expanding access to advanced therapies.
