Researchers at USC Norris and City of Hope engineered CAR T cells that deliver IL-12 fused to a PD-L1 blocker, boosting immune attack precisely at tumor sites. In mouse models of ovarian and prostate cancer, the therapy shrank tumors safely without systemic toxicity, suggesting potential for broader application to other solid tumors.
