On behalf of the Sarawak Society for Cell and Gene Therapy Research (SSCTR), I am pleased to share an invitation to an important and forward-looking event organized by the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Technology Assessment:


Workshop on Generative AI for HEOR and Market Access

Date: 27–28 August 2025

Location: Online


As Malaysia begins to embrace the promise of cell and gene therapy (CGT), challenges surrounding affordability, access, and real-world evidence remain significant, especially in Sarawak and other underserved regions.


This workshop will explore how generative AI can be used to support Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and improve market access strategies. Key benefits include:

  • Accelerating local evidence generation to support regulatory and policy decisions

  • Supporting value-based pricing models for advanced therapies

  • Reducing access barriers through data-informed resource allocation

  • Strengthening engagement with payers, regulators, and international collaborators
