Engineered Immune Cells Show Promise for Pulmonary Fibrosis

A new study demonstrates how engineered immune cells can be programmed to target and remodel fibrotic lung tissue, offering hope for patients with pulmonary fibrosis. Researchers showed that these modified cells actively reversed fibrosis in preclinical models, paving the way for novel cell-based treatments for chronic and currently incurable lung diseases.
