CAR-T cell therapy, originally developed for cancer, is now advancing into non-oncological areas including autoimmune diseases, fibrosis, infections, haemophilia, and aging. Dual-targeting CARs such as CD19‑BCMA are showing strong promise in conditions like lupus, where conventional treatments often fail. This growing versatility highlights how engineered immune cells may soon become central tools in treating a much broader range of diseases.
