ACCESS Study Expands Stem Cell Transplant Options for Diverse Patients

Updated: Sep 4

Published on: Targeted Oncology

The NMDP-sponsored ACCESS study is improving outcomes for mismatched stem cell transplants, particularly among ethnically diverse patients with limited donor options. Early results show survival rates comparable to fully matched transplants, with low graft-versus-host disease incidence. By making mismatched transplants safer and more effective, ACCESS offers new hope for patients historically underserved in donor registries.
